Published by Health Metrics, June 29, 2022

We’re very pleased to announce Simon Bond has joined Health Metrics in the newly established role of Chief Technology Officer within our Executive Leadership Team. Simon is responsible for the design and delivery of a best-practice, future-ready technology strategy to ensure our eCase platform effectively meets the changing business, regulatory and compliance needs of our clients.

Simon has more than 20 years of extensive ICT industry experience and specialist knowledge in best-practice enterprise solution design and architecture, IT governance and security. He holds a Master of Information and Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Information and Technology from Charles Sturt University, and a Graduate Certificate of Technology from Swinburne University.

Simon’s passion for engineering and technology began when he joined the Royal Australian Navy as an Electronics Technician aged 17 years. After 6 years with the Navy, Simon chose to pursue a career within the ICT sector where he was able to apply his natural curiosity and problem-solving skills to resolving complex hardware and systems issues. He has worked with clients across the defence, government, utilities and healthcare sectors.

With his depth of experience and strong interest in innovation, Simon holds several Board roles within technology start-up businesses and was a Member of the Board for Ballarat Health Services where he advised on the Health Services’ digital transformation projects.

“I’m delighted to be joining the Health Metrics team and to play a role in the continued strategic development of the eCase software platform. Health Metrics has a well-established position with the healthcare sector, in particular residential aged care. The Company’s commitment to delivering excellent business and clinical outcomes through the delivery of robust, fit-for-purpose technology solutions for aged care, as well as entering new markets, make this an exciting time to join the business,” said Simon.

Away from the office Simon continues to pursue his passion for lifelong learning and is working on a number of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning projects. And to keep fit he recently took up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial art and combat sport.

Paul Brindle, CEO Health Metrics commented: “We’re very pleased to have someone of Simon’s calibre join our team. Simon brings extensive ICT and senior management experience to Health Metrics and he will play a significant role in meeting the rapidly evolving and complex needs of our clients, and supporting the continued growth and development of our business.”
